YES, connection at Puchong is really like SHIT.
I’ve call the technician but they keep giving SHIT excused like u mention.
PLEASE GET AWAY FOR P1 WIMAX.

Another way to overcome our frustrations on “P1 Wimax Speediest of the Slowest Service” in Asia is to pulverize them with insults daily in this blog and other websites. Write in your complaints, create a signature campaign, boycott their roadshows and show them as consumers, we can be tough and cannot be bullied by them. We shall not end here, other Internet service providers who don’t provide a good service…you too watch out

OK, If you all see this, you maybe “laughed your ass off”. Yes, you know what is the time acquired to download a 5.58GB of programmes? Uhoh, 2 weeks, BRO, 2 WEEKS (WITHOUT REST)!! Yes I’m a computer pro, I can dissamble computer , hack a person’s account…(NOT A COMPLIMENT AGAINST MYSELF!). I optimize UTorrent and cheats for better share ratio when downloading torrent AND even add public tracker into a torrent with seeds of 3000^. It really made me shocked that it only gave me a download speed of highest 15.2 KBps. What the fuCK!!? My home is situated between 2 transmitter. How could the speed get so bad?

My p1 wimax is working fine for 5 months. QUITE stable, signal always green never when red, portable and fast up/downloading BUT i lag in online games such as CS:S, Sudden attack and DOTA. In CS my ping was like 105 ms + too high for me and the other players are only 50ms or lower. Thats one thing bad about p1 wimax. It is not that good for online games BUT good for downloadng and uploading. I watch a 5 min youtube and it loaded within 1 min. I got disconnected one time because of network manitainence for 3 hours. Overrall im happy with my ISP (p1 wimax) and i threw away my Streamyx TM (turtle modem). Any suggestions to my ping??? Pm me ASAP.

Package= Home lite (D/L 400kbps U/L 150 kbps)
Lag/Ping = usually 90~110 ms (lowest was 85)
Signal = ALWAYS GREEN
Phone service= ALWAYS READY
Customer service = not good during weekends =(

if you are in puchong the P1 is absolute CRAP…. unreliable , inconsistent and the service desk keeps giving contrary advise on placement of modem, to excuses of recent upgrades…SEEK ANY OTHER SUPPLIER BEFORE COMMITTING TO THIS SERVICE

Nice review. I can’t open this article when using P1. I have P1 and luckily I have other prepaid broadband.

With P1, you can’t post photos, send attachment, chatting, gaming, etc.. upload speed to low!!!

Okay guys, here’s my 2cents of advice. First of all, I’ll let u know that ‘m a pretty hardcore downloader as i own a rapidshare premium account. I’ve been using the streamyx 1.0mbps connection for months now and thank God, so far the ONLY problem is well, the download speed. On average, i get consistent DOWNLOAD speeds of up to 120-130kbps PER file. I don’t use p2p sites and torrents because they’re a BLOODY WASTE OF TIME. Then last month, as I went to pay my streamyx bill as susal, this P1 sales guy came up to me outside the shop. HOW IRONIC, P1 people were actually advertising OUTSIDE the TM POINT shoe near my place, haha. Anyway, this guy who came up to me tried to tell me EVERYTHING he knew about wimax, and so i listened. After he finished (leaving out the fair usage threshold part), I asked him, “ok, you are telling me all this, but i got 1 thing to ask u, is there a limit at which my download speed will be reduced every month?”. Obviously, I was referring to the download threshold. The guy went “ahhh, wait ah, i go and ask my friend”..Seriously, I LAUGHED MY FUCKING ASS OFF!!!!. But still i wanted to see what his “friend” had to say. He was wearing on of their promotional t-shirts that said “Download King”. So this guy came up to me and with a handbook of some sort started explaining to me about the download threshold. RIGHT AFTER that,without me even asking, he started telling me this, and i kid u not, these were his EXACT words “Eh brother, i tell u ah, u see my t-shirt, it says DOWNLOAD KING. Normally ah, now i use the ‘weemax’ right i can download a lot of tv show every month leh, because my speed damn kaw!. I can get to download 10 tv show and 3 movie in one month leh!!. Then when i reach the limit, i just download song lor, sometimes up to 30 songs.” Ok, at this point, i was about to bloody laugh my ass off. Then he continued, “U see ah, that is why they call me the download king, because i download a lot a lot”. At this point, i just couldn’t hold it back anymore and just laughed like a crazy fucktard. WALAO EH!!!!!!!!..To be honest, that’s how much i probably download in what, 2 or 3 days?. So, the moral of the story is, unless you are a person who is tooo rich and doesn’t mind paying for the P1 unlimited business plan connections, just stick with the basic streamyx, its better value in the long term. I tried using wimax for a month, but i gave up because of 2 simple reason
1) Frequent SLOOOOOOW connectivity
20 The stupid fair usage threshold

Its cheaper to just get a normal wireless modem and use it with a streamyx connection, at least the connection is stable and u can ALWAYS get constant, if not increasing connection speed.
